"unrelentingly efficient"

I had the pleasure of working with Sarah on Coaching through COVID and Beyond, a pioneering pro bono coaching initiative which I and my co-founders set up as a rapid response in March 2020 to COVID, with the purpose of providing coaching to healthcare workers suffering from the impact of COVID – whether mental, physical, emotional or other. It was both innovative and adaptive, responding to the plethora of new situations and needs that arose on an ad hoc basis: part of the philosophy of Coaching through COVID and Beyond was to respond quickly rather than perfectly, and that took significant energy, flexibility and resourcefulness on a daily basis, as we were inventing new systems as we went along, while maintaining business as usual and expanding exponentially. All of our work and team work was conducted remotely. Sarah led the administrative and record-keeping arm of Coaching through COVID and Beyond, and in that role she was unrelentingly efficient, cheerful, enthusiastic, engaged, committed, observant with an eye for detail, and able to think broadly about the situations that arose. She brought great energy, reliability and goodwill, sometimes under significant pressure. Somehow she seemed always on top of what needed doing, and equally, she was able to say when she wasn’t on top of it (which was the case for all of us, at one time or another). Importantly, too, she ran very effective relationships with other team members, including new joiners, and always joined the dots and communicated well. She was always sunny and can-do, which was important in the new territory we kept finding ourselves in. Sarah was a very valued member of the team, and I really enjoyed and appreciated working with her.

"delivered far more than expected"

In March 2024, I became Area Dean of Waltham Forest - a clergy role in the C of E with some oversight and so quite a bit of admin too. It was in unusual circumstances - the Deanery in which I was Area Dean was not the one in which my parish was located, and the person who had been doing the admin was returning to a full-time role in a totally different area. That meant a very steep learning curve, but also getting to grips with the admin quickly. I’d met Sarah before in a similar role in a different deanery, and seeing her work there made me immediately reach out to her. She has delivered far more than I or anyone could have expected, made it possible for me to actually do the job, and has set the Deanery on an excellent footing in terms of administration for the future. Contact lists are up to date with the necessary consents, calendars and deadlines are in order, and queries are responded to, all graciously and with good humour. Good administration makes all sorts of things possible - and Sarah has more than fulfilled this.

"hard-working, diligent and personable"

When I was Chair of BD_Collective, Sarah was part of my team for 3 years and I could not recommend her highly enough. She is hard-working, diligent and personable. Sarah gets the balance right of asking questions for clarity at the beginning of a new piece of work whilst at the same time bringing ideas and solutions about how to approach. She is technically competent and always willing to learn new things. You won’t regret engaging Sarah on your team.

"hard-working, reliable and utterly trustworthy"

Sarah really is a fabulous virtual admin Angel - that is no exaggeration! It was a real pleasure to get to know Sarah and work alongside her at Volunteer Centre Kensington and Chelsea (all be it virtually!) Sarah was an absolute God send for me in my role as Operations Manager / Director of Volunteering & Operations. I spoke to Sarah most days and she was indispensable, assisting both the CEO and myself to ensure the smooth running of the organisation. Sarah is hard-working, reliable and utterly trustworthy. She has multiple skills and is willing to get stuck into any project. She has an eye for detail but is also excellent at keeping a general overview of what is going on. She is super organised and a Trello whizz! She helped the CEO manage his diary and prioritise his workload brilliantly. She was also excellent at helping me keep our policy review programme on track, and ensuring all the administration was done for our governance meetings. Sarah remains calm under pressure and talking to Sarah always helped me feel more in control of my own work too! She was excellent at motivating me to work on things that I perhaps found a bit tedious, and made these tasks so much easier by always being ready to assist! Sarah is also kind, supportive and a lot of fun! Although virtual she was definitely part of the wider VCKC team. I am so grateful our paths crossed and I can't recommend Sarah highly enough!

"extremely organised and reliable"

Sarah worked for me at the UK office of Birra Peroni from 2004 - 2005 and was a highly valued member of the team. She provided administrative support, organised meetings, and maintained various databases. She also helped to organise a large-scale trade event. Sarah is extremely organised, reliable and an absolute pleasure to work with. I have no doubt that with her skills and experience, she will be a great Virtual Assistant!

"trustworthy and supportive"

Sarah was my admin assistant for four years, and it was a very smooth-running and fruitful time for both of us. Sarah’s skills and knowledge of all things technical are impressive; in fact, she was the ‘go-to’ for the whole office for anything to do with websites, social media and indeed, anything computer-orientated. Sarah is reliable, trustworthy and supportive and works well as part of a team but also under her own steam. I would have no hesitation is recommending her to anyone who is looking for website set-up or support.

"top notch training and support"

Thanks to Mrs Sarah Haler for assisting us to develop our church website (St Elisabeth’s Church of England, Becontree). The website is user friendly, with high quality template design and picture quality. Sarah offered top notch training and support (very informative) to us on how to use the website. Overall we are very pleased with the website design, we look forward to further collaboration with Sarah in the future and would recommend Sarah to anyone.
